WITHOUT FAITH

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith is a foundational component to our relationship with God. Everything we received from God, every activity of God in our lives is worked in us through faith.

We are saved through faith - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, - Ephesians 2:8

Hebrews says - Without Faith it is impossible to please God. Note something here – the verse doesn’t say it is very difficult to please God without faith. It says it is impossible.

The starting point of faith is believing that God exists. We do not see Him, but we must believe that He is. We may not have a complete or correct understanding of Him, but we need to have a persuasion that there is a supreme divine being.

Believing God exists is step number one, but it doesn’t stop there. Many believe in God (the Bible says that even the demons believe) but that is where it stops. Many seem to have a concept that somehow God is somewhere far away and they are here and there isn’t any interaction. Believing in God should move us into pursuing Him based upon faith that God will reward (by giving revelation of Himself, by fulfilling His promises) to those who seek after Him. Faith begins with believing in God and believing that God will reward those who diligently (remember that word - diligently) seek Him.
